Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey in talks to create inter-parliamentary group
Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey are holding talks on creation of a joint inter-parliamentary friendship group, member of Russia’s State Duma, head of the Russia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group Dmitry Savelyev told, AzVision.az reports citing Trend.
Savelyev reminded that the Russia-Turkey friendship group was established in addition to the Russia-Azerbaijan friendship group, adding both groups are working very fruitfully.

“I believe the tripartite group will be established – this is the demand of time. Our countries are committed to cooperation,” he said.

Savelyev noted that Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as Azerbaijan and Russia, have very strong relations. In particular, Azerbaijan has done everything possible to resolve the situation, when the Russia-Turkey relations were extremely strained.

“In the light of these circumstances, I believe the trilateral group will be an extremely effective platform for discussing intergovernmental issues and sharing experience,” he said.

Speaking of short-term plans for cooperation within the Russia-Azerbaijan friendship group, Savelyevsaid parliamentarians are expected to carry out mutual visits and mull topical issues of the bilateral relations.
