7 PKK terrorists killed in Iraq border: Turkish military
According to the statement of Turkish General Staff, Turkish fighter jets hit PKK terrorists who tried to cross into Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province from northern Iraq.
A total of seven PKK terrorists were killed in the airstrike, the statement said.
The statement said the total number of terrorists killed in Hakkari and surrounding areas in 2017 reached 166.
Earlier on Saturday, a Turkish soldier was martyred in southern Hatay province during operations against PKK.
The PKK -listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of some 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
