The PA official said different experts or human rights organizations might see some things, but Azerbaijan continues cooperating with the US in international peacemaking processes, global counterterrorism, global energy security, joint formation and technical exploitation of the Caspian Sea and South Caucasus transnational transport-communication lines, and other areas.

“Azerbaijan-US relations in the economic, political, social and other spheres are developing as well. Some circles seek to escalate relations between the two countries. The US media sometimes publishes negative articles which don’t represent manifest realities at all but are prepared under the orders of different centers seeking to aggravate our relations. We’re trying to put a stop to these and think the US government too is doing the same,” said Ali Hasanov.

A. Hasanov called various hearings on Azerbaijan held in the US ‘normal’.

“The Azerbaijani parliament and NGOs also hold hearings on the ongoing developments in the United States. If necessary, our government can also hold a hearing. No one can be blamed for such things in the world of modern, democratic, political and pluralistic norms. Let the US to analyze the life in Azerbaijan as it is. We also analyze and comment on the ongoing developments in the US as they are,” the PA official noted.

A. Hasanov said there are principal points in such discussions. Not only anti-Azerbaijani forces, but also people being aware of the current status in Azerbaijan should be involved in these discussions. The debates shouldn’t be one-sided, but neutral,” he said.
