Azerbaijan doubles cargo transportation to Hungary
Silk Way West Airlines - the all-cargo national carrier of Azerbaijan
The increase of trade turnover will contribute to strengthening of economic relations between Budapest and Baku, as well as the Far East countries, according to the report.

“The airlines doubled the monthly volume of cargo transportation by late 2014,” said the report.

“This became possible as a result of using Boeing-747 aircraft with a load capacity of 113 metric tons, while the load capacity of Boeing 767-300F that was previously used for cargo transportation is 53 metric tons.”

Jozsef Kossuth, cargo manager for Budapest Airport said that as Hungary expected, Silk Way West quickly became popular in Central Europe.

“Two flights a week carried out by Silk Way West open great opportunities for Hungarian trade, since they ensure fast communication between Hungary, Azerbaijan and markets in the Far East,” he said.

Vice President of Silk Way West Nijat Babayev, for his part, said that the company is satisfied with its activities in Hungary and will continue working on further improving and expanding the export and import operations.

Silk Way West is included in Silk Way Holding, which combines a number of companies operating in the aviation industry and related services.
