During the meeting, the parties expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in a variety of fields, and hailed Azerbaijan-U.S. cooperation. The sides discussed a number of issues related to energy, security, fight against terrorism, prospects of cooperation on Afghanistan, human rights, democratic institutions and conducting dialogue on this front, APA reports citing AzerTAc.
The parties also exchanged views over the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, elimination of tension in the region, continuation of negotiations, and the ensuring of peace and stability.
