Armenian new ambassador to Iran appointed
Artashes Tumanyan was appointed Armenian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Iran upon Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
Grigor Arakelyan was dismissed from the post of Armenian ambassador to Iran upon other decree.

Tumanyan was a member of the parliament, deputy foreign minister in different years.

He served as the head of the administration of the second president Robert Kocharyan in 2000-2006.
