Turkish Airlines plane skids off runway, crashes into snow drifts in Istanbul
The Turkish Airlines plane, which was implementing a flight from Beirut, skidded off the runway in Istanbul Ataturk Airport and crashed into snow drifts, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported Feb.18.
All the passengers of the plane were quickly evacuated, no injuries were reported.

On Feb. 17, Turkish Airlines cancelled 117 domestic flights scheduled for February 17-18 due to heavy snowfall in Istanbul.

The snow cover in Istanbul currently reaches 35 centimeters, according to the Turkish media
