ICRC representatives visit Armenian scout held in Azerbaijan
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited a war prisoner who was captured in Aghdam in December.

Spokesperson for the ICRC Baku Office, Ilaha Huseynova, told that the visit took place on February 18. The prisoner was informed about his family and his family about him.

In the evening of December 26th, an Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group made an attempt to cross the contact line of troops in the Aghdam section of the front line.

Thanks to the high vigilance of Azerbaijan’s frontal units, this attempt of the enemy was detected in advance and prevented, the Defense Ministry reported.

After a short firefight, enemy forces suffered heavy losses and were forced to retreat. One member of the Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group, Bagdasaryan Arsen Edwardovich, a professional serviceman, was captured.

The Azerbaijani Military Prosecutor’s Office has launched a case under articles #29,120.2.7, 29,120.2.12 and 29,282.2 of the Criminal Code.
