Opposition seeks to plunge Turkey into chaos - PM
Opposition parties in Turkey seek to plunge the country into chaos, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said in his interview with Sabah newspaper.
The prime minister said that the opposition Republican People`s Party has contacts to the movement of Fethullah Gulen [Islamic public figure currently residing in the US].

Meanwhile, Davutoglu didn’t rule out that the opposition can attempt to stage provocations in the country on the eve of the parliamentary election to be held in June, 2015.

Representatives of 31 political parties will participate in the parliamentary election in Turkey. Under the country’s law, candidates are required to resign from their previous positions by February 10.

Currently, there are 76 political parties in Turkey. However, only four of them are represented in the country’s parliament: Justice and Development Party, Republican People`s Party, Nationalist Movement Party and pro-Kurdish Peoples` Democratic Party.

The previous parliamentary election was held in Turkey in 2011. Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party gathered 46.66 percent of votes, Republican People`s Party – 20.85 percent, Nationalist Movement Party – 14.29 percent as a result of this election.
