Terrorism is a crime against humanity, regardless of where it happens - Anar Alakbarov
Terrorism is a crime against humanity, regardless of where it happens, said Assistant to the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov.
He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Cannes, France, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation told AzVision.az.

Expressing regret over last year’s July 14 terrorist attack in Nice, which killed scores of people, Alakbarov said that Azerbaijan understands well the pain of innocent people suffering from terrorism.

He noted that the Armenian army periodically commits provocations against the civilian Azerbaijani population living in settlements along the frontline.

“Armenia’s shelling of Alkhanli village of Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli district ten days ago resulted in the death of 2-year-old toddler Zahra Guliyeva," he said.

According to him, Azerbaijan is a herald of peace and security and holds a principled position against race, nationality and religious discrimination.

"Our state strongly condemns all manifestations of terrorism, which is a terrible disaster for the world. We believe that all peoples will be able to mobilize their forces to tackle terrorism, which is targeting innocent people, threatening human security, democratic values, and rights and freedoms of citizens,” he added.
