No one can claim Iran
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, speaking at a conference of the Non-Aligned Movement
“The ones who execute the sanctions are well aware of the intentions and goals of the Iranian people and government,” he said, Iran’s State IRINN TV reported Feb. 23.
The president further noted that the Islamic Republic has realized the role of science and technology in sustainable development and is pushing its way through.

He also urged cooperation among NAM member states to improve their scientific standards as a way to attain the movement’s final goal of bringing peace and equity to the world.
Rouhani’s speech comes a day after deputy foreign ministers of Iran and their counterparts from member states of the P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) ended a 1.5-hour talks on Iran’s nuclear program in Geneva.

This round of talks is for the first time attended by Chairman of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi and US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz. The two attended the talks to discuss detailed technical issues.

The talks between Iran and the P5+1 were extended until June 30, 2015 to reach a comprehensive nuclear agreement. However, the sides attempt to reach a political accord in March.

After the parties failed to meet the Nov. 24, 2014 deadline they also extended the Geneva nuclear deal, which was signed in November 2013 for providing Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Tehran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities.
