The international defense exhibition IDEX-2015 being held in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, continues.
On the second day of the exhibition, the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry held business meetings with several foreign companies. The possibilities of cooperation were discussed.
The delegation headed by the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Minister Yaver Jamalov visited the stands of defense industry enterprises of Sudan, the UAE, Pakistan, South Africa, Ukraine, Turkey and other countries.
The stand of the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry caused great interest as well. Azerbaijani-made “Istiglal-T”, “Mubariz”, “Yalguzag” and “Yirtiji” sniper rifles, HP-7.62 attack machine guns, ammunition for RPG-style hand grenades attracted interest.
Jamalov told that the Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry will soon launch series production of ammunition for VOG-25 grenades and AQS-30 automatic grenade launchers. Construction and installation works have already been completed.
Note that, Azerbaijan also exhibited EM-14 gun with 5.56x45 mm NATO standard cartridge for the first time.
