Russian diamond mine floods in Siberia, 17 people missing
At least 17 people are missing after flooding at the pumping station of the Mir diamond mine in Siberia on Friday, AP news agency reported citing Russian officials.
Rescuers have established contact with 134 of the 151 miners who were in the mine when it got flooded, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said, adding that 133 people have been evacuated to safety as of now.

The mine belongs to Alrosa, Russia's largest diamond producer.

Alrosa said the incident took place at around 4:30 p.m. local time and rescuers are still searching for the missing people.
