The event brought together senior Brazilian officials, members of the National Congress, heads of diplomatic corpses accredited in the country and members of academic community, press office of the embassy said.
In his address to the event, Azerbaijani ambassador to Brazil Elnur Sultanov told about significance of the Republic Day, ADR`s major role in the history of statehood, national leader Heydar Aliyev`s indispensable role in the life of modern Azerbaijan after it restored independence back in 1991 and achievements made in various fields in the country.
