Kerry plans to meet Lavrov at end of week for Iran talks
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday he planned to meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the end of the week to discuss Iran`s nuclear program and developments in Syria
"I will be leaving, I think on Saturday, for meetings with Foreign Minister [Sergey] Lavrov on Syria and other things," Kerry told the Senate foreign relations committee, adding that he also planned to attend a meeting of the U.N. Human Rights Council. "I will be negotiating with Iran for the rest of that week."

Negotiators from Iran and six major powers are due to hold a new round of talks over the Islamic Republic`s nuclear program next Monday, on March 2, a source in the U.S. delegation told TASS. The Iranian delegation confirmed the report. The venue for the meeting involving Iran and the P5+1 group - the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany - has not been finally determined yet. It is possible that it will take place in Geneva again.

On March 2, Lavrov will attend the U.N. Human Rights Council session in Geneva. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is also expected to participate in the meeting.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will join it on March 3, while participation of the other foreign ministers from the P5+1 group has not yet been announced.
