“Azerbaijan is my own homeland. I’m pleased with my visit to Azerbaijan”, said the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu at the press conference held after meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.

Çavuşoğlu noted he witnesses in his each visit that Azerbaijan has become stronger: “We are trying for development of relations, including economic relations between the two countries. We are working to increase the mutual trade turnover to $ 15 bln”.

The Minister stressed that TANAP is a strategic project for Turkey: “We are trying for Turkmen gas to be included in TANAP and we stated it earlier”.

He also noted that Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia and Azerbaijan-Turkey-Turkmenistan formats operate successfully and works on holding of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Kazakh foreign ministers are underway.
