He said Turkey, during its G20 presidency, has the right to invite one country to the summit of the ‘Great Twenty’, and this country is Azerbaijan.
“We believe that Azerbaijan’s participation in the G20 summit will make its contribution to the work of the ‘Great Twenty’,” the minister said.
Azerbaijan’s foreign minister, for his part, thanked his Turkish counterpart for the invitation to the summit, stressing that Azerbaijan is ready to contribute to the G20’s work.
On Dec. 1, 2014, the deputy prime minister of Turkey, Ali Babacan said Turkey invited Azerbaijan to take part in the G20 summit, to be held in Antalya in 2015.
He said Azerbaijan’s participation in the G20 summit has special importance for Turkey.
