This was stated by Vice Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov.
Z. Asgarov this concern is also brought to attention during meetings with Iranian parliamentarians.
“However, they say this is Iran’s independent policy and no one can intrude. So we stay away.
During such meetings, they remind us of Azerbaijan’s friendship with Israel, asking what the reason behind Azerbaijani-Israeli friendship is. And we say this is Azerbaijan’s independent policy,“ he said.
