Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry: Co-chair countries should consider imposing sanctions on Armenia
“Germany and Turkey`s becoming OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs isn’t yet on the agenda”

Azerbaijan`s position is that all the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries should contribute to the liberation of the Azerbaijani occupied territories and be active,” said Spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev, APA reports.

He said that Germany and Turkey, that are said should be involved in the resolution of the conflict, are also members of the OSCE Minsk Group. “In general, the final goal is the liberation of Azerbaijani territories, return of IDPs to their homes.

Germany and Turkey`s becoming OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs isn’t yet on the agenda.

We expect the co-chair countries to express different attitude to Armenia, consider coercive measures, including imposing sanctions, as this country’s destructive policy are undermining the negotiation process,” he said.
