Convention on Caspian status can be agreed at presidents’ next summit – Turkmen leader
The convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea can be agreed at the 5th summit of the presidents of Caspian littoral states, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said during talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Ashgabat, RIA Novosti reported.
“We hope that the issue of the completion o joint work on the convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea will be considered at the presidents’ next summit. This issue is of strategic importance,” the Turkmen leader said expressing hope that all the Caspian countries will come out for the solution of this issue.
