40-year-period is needed to demolish the non-working power block of the Armenian "Metsamor-1" station, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian Media. The issue was included to the power block demolition strategy and the draft law was approved at today's meeting of the Armenian Parliament.
The operation of the first power block of the station was suspended after an earthquake in Armenia`s second-largest city Gyumri in 1988 and a decision was made on the closure of Metsamor in 2007.
