39th meeting of Ad Hoc Working Group on Caspian Sea legal status starts in Baku

39th meeting of Ad Hoc Working Group on Caspian Sea legal status starts in Baku

At the level of the deputy foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral states, the 39th meeting of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the legal status of the Caspian Sea has today kicked off in Baku.

The purpose of the meeting is to hold negotiations to prepare the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, and determine the agenda and date of next summit which will be held in Astana this year.

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Rahimpur and Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zulfiya Amanjolova are attending the meeting.
