Azerbaijani ambassador awarded Supreme Order of Croatia
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Croatia Kamil Khasiyev was awarded the Order of Duke Branimir for his contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Croatia relations.
President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović handed the order to the ambassador.

Addressing the event, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović hailed bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia, conveying the greetings to President Ilham Aliyev.

In turn, Kamil Khasiyev emphasized mutual activities of the presidents of both countries, as well as establishment of strategic partnership and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia as a result of cooperation between the foreign ministries and embassies of the two countries. The ambassador expressed his confidence in further development of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia.

The Order of Duke Branimir was founded on April 1, 1995, in honor of the Prince of Brunei who led Croatia in the years 879-892. The Order is presented to those who encourage Croatia internationally, including diplomats who make important contributions in this direction.
