ANAS: Land plots, scientific facilities seized over last 5 years returned
Many plots of land and scientific facilities, belonging to the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), which were seized by other organizations over the past five years due to negligence of officials, have been returned thanks to strenuous efforts of the Academy’s administration, Prof. Habil Gurbanov, acting chairman of the Free Trade Union of ANAS, said in his report on the 5-year activity of ANAS.
He said that at present these plots of land and scientific facilities are effectively used for the benefit of ANAS employees.

“We can mention the planting of wheat, barley, potatoes and other agricultural products on the land plots in Kurdamir, Aghsu and Khizi districts, the return of 35 hectares of land in Saray settlement of Absheron district, a recreation center in the yard of the observatory in Pirgulu settlement of Shamakhi district, the “Guest House” of the Dendrology Institute, “Elm” recreation center, etc.,” Gurbanov added.
