There are problems related to the number of judges, says Bahar Muradova
"There are factors related to law enforcement, security, and courts influencing human rights in the country” Human Rights Committee Chairwoman, Vice Speaker Bahar Muradova said at today's parliamentary meeting.
She noted that problems with judges’ and investigators’ work had an adverse impact on human rights. In addition, there were serious problems in the field of advocacy. It has become a necessity to pay serious attention to this area following the regulation of the law on defenders replacing lawyers, .

Muradova said that a number of factors affecting human rights are directly and indirectly linked to the activities of law enforcement and judicial bodies.

"The difficulties faced by lawyers, judges, investigators had a direct or indirect effect on human rights. Of course, the number of judges should be increased and this should be taken into consideration for the next year's budget,” she said.
