ICRC expresses readiness to facilitate handover of Azerbaijani soldier

In accordance with its mandate, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) stands ready to act as a neutral intermediary to facilitate the handover operation of the body of the Azerbaijani soldier, upon the agreement of the Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities, Ilaha Huseynova, head of the Communication Department of the ICRC Azerbaijan Delegation told APA.
The body of Azerbaijani soldier Bahruz Jalilbayli, who left the service place after committing a military offense, was found on the contact line at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border in the direction of the Ordubad District of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, near the positions of the Armenian armed forces, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on Nov. 23.
