Minister: European Parliament`s anti-Turkish decision makes no sense
The European Parliament`s decision directed against the interests of Turkey makes no sense, Turkey`s Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bakhysh said, Turkish newspaper Yenisafak reported on Saturday.
The minister said Turkey is a democratic country and has become an example for the countries of the European Union.

Against the backdrop of the ongoing protests, the European Parliament has issued a statement, saying that Turkey strikes at the rights of the protesters. The Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to this, stating that any EU decision on Turkey is baseless.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that no country has the right to teach democracy to Turkey, and the statement on infringement of the rights of protesters is incorrect.
