Afghan ambassador expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan
An increase in the number of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in Afghanistan is wonderful news, Afghan Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Taqi Khalili said at a press conference on Monday, reports.
The ambassador, on behalf of the Afghan people, expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for expanding its peacekeeping contingent in Afghanistan.

Azerbaijan is interested in establishing peace not only in Afghanistan, but throughout the region and the world, noted Khalili.

He recalled that at a meeting recently held in Ashgabat it was decided that Afghanistan through the Turkmenbashi port will have access to the Baku port and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

Khalili went on to say that several documents on cooperation in various areas are expected to be signed between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.

“One of the documents on cooperation will be related to the economic sphere. A joint working group will be created in this direction. The group will hold its first meeting in early 2018,” he said.
