Afghan FM: Istanbul Process provides wider cooperation

Afghan FM: Istanbul Process provides wider cooperation

We express our gratitude to Azerbaijan for hosting the 7th Ministerial Conference of the “Heart of Asia” – Istanbul Process, said Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Salahuddin Rabbani.

Rabbani made remarks at the 7th Ministerial Conference titled "Security and Economic Connectivity towards a Strengthened Heart of Asia Region" held within the “Heart of Asia” – Istanbul Process, APA reports.

He noted that the next conference will be held in Turkey.

“The Istanbul Process has begun since 2011. It is aimed to determine our commitment to promoting peace in Afghanistan and Asia. This process provides wider cooperation in the region. The process will help fight terrorism and other threats in Afghanistan and the region. We welcome the launch of railway projects that will lead to the development of the region and the increasing of trade relations,” the minister added.
