ANAMA demines 13,000 sq.m area in Jojug Marjanli

ANAMA demines 13,000 sq.m area in Jojug Marjanli

Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) conducted demining operations on Dec.11 around Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrayil.

An area of 13,000 sq.m was demined and a total of the area of 22,600 sq.m was prepared for demining with special mechanical tools, ANAMA told Defence.az.

During the operations, no mines and unexploded ordnances were found.

A team of 55 persons was involved in the operations.

During the 23 days, 9 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) (1 F-1 grenade, 1 UZQRM explosive, 2 RQ-42 grenades, 2 TM-62 anti-tank mines, and 3 PQ-7 anti-tank unguided missiles and 1 OZM-72 anti-personnel mine were found.

The operations are underway.
