Azerbaijan, Ukraine to jointly produce rail carriages
Azerbaijan and Ukraine will establish a joint venture (JV) for the production of railway cars, the Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine reported on Dec.14.
Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ukraine Azer Khudiyev held a meeting with the leadership of PJSC "Kriukov Carriage Works" in this regard.

During the meeting, deputy director of the plant Igor Manaenkov noted that Azerbaijan actively participates in international transportation.

"Azerbaijan is a participant of a number of international projects. With the commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, Azerbaijan has opened a wide corridor between Europe and Asia, and from this point of view, Azerbaijan needs to produce new passenger and freight cars, " Manaenkov said.

Khudiyev, in turn, noted that Ukraine is an advantageous partner for Azerbaijan.

The ambassador also noted the importance of preparation of a package of proposals on the establishment of the joint venture. He added that after the consideration of the proposal by the Azerbaijani side, a working group from Ukraine will visit Baku.

PJSC "Kriukov Carriage Works"produces various types of freight and passenger railroad cars, which are exported to many countries of the world.
