The minister stressed that the UK companies may invest in Azerbaijan’s industrial parks and also create livestock farms, establish manufacture of medical equipment, food products, in particular, processing of meat and milk together with local companies.
Mustafayev added that besides, both countries have great opportunities for development of relations in the spheres of tourism, transport and ICT. He said that the UK may also take advantage of transport and transit opportunities of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the minister once again reminded the guest about Azerbaijan’s fair position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
In turn, Baroness Rona Fairhead emphasized the success achieved by Azerbaijan in the economic sphere, as well as the country’s cooperation with the UK companies, including BP.
Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with the UK amounted to $240.46 million in January-November 2017, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
