Undoubtedly, more than a million Azerbaijani civilians who were forcibly driven out their historical lands by the Armenian Armed Forces, have a better knowledge of what the ethnic cleansing, occupation and massacres are. Similar tyrannies are experienced in the neighbouring countries from Syria to Palestine before the eyes of the world.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the remarks at the international conference, titled “2017 – Year of Islamic Solidarity: Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue”, which was held in Baku on December 21, AzVision.az reports.

Amid the increasing conflicts, tension, Islamophobia, xenophobia and cultural racism, holding such a conference is of the utmost importance.

“Unfortunately, some countries and international institutions which are responsible of ensuring global justice, security and stability failed to fulfil their duties in this process. Recently, the US President Donald Trump has made the decision about Jerusalem, which does not address the UN Security Council resolutions, contravenes international law and aim to increase the tension and conflict further”, he added.
