Azerbaijani president receives Russian minister of economic development
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.
Maxim Oreshkin delivered Russian President Vladimir Putin's greetings and wishes to Ilham Aliyev, AzVision.az reports.

He also congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his birthday and wished success in his activities for the welfare of Azerbaijani people. Furthermore, Russian minister talked about the development process in Baku with a positive impression.

Azerbaijani president asked to deliver his greetings and wishes to President Vladimir Putin.

Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of expanding economic cooperation and taking additional measures for the increase in trade turnover and expressed his appreciation for the increase in export of Azerbaijani goods to Russia highlighting the successful development in all spheres regarding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. In addition, Aliyev said that Maxim Oreshkin's visit would create opportunities to review the issues of import and export expansion of two countries.

Maxim Oreshkin noted 60% increase in export of agricultural products of Azerbaijan. He also stated that Russia adopted a decision for 14 institutions, which produce agricultural products of Azerbaijan, to enter Russian markets.

Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction regarding this decision.

The sides empathized the importance of North-South transport corridor for two countries, noted the dynamic progress in trade relations and discussed the cooperation opportunities in the field of mutual investment, tourism and transit cargo transportation.
