As of February 1, 2015, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,602,000, up 9,000 persons or 0.1% from 2014.
With reference to the State Statistical Committee that the density of population made 111 persons in a km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,011 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages.
