Iran policy of Armenia exposed- ANALYSIS
Since December 28, tens of thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets in huge numbers of towns and cities. The wide spectrum of slogans showed that the wave of demonstrations cover a range of social classes who have different demands.
US President Donald Trump's immediate reaction and support for protests and the Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements showed that there are certain external powers behind the events. At the initiative of the United States, the Iranian issue was also included in the agenda of the UN Security Council special session. Since time and date are not properly calculated, US could not get the desired result.

Some compared the recent protests in Iran with the "Arab Spring", which led to coups in Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Libya. The similarity between the two was that the scenario of the "Arab Spring" was also not based on specific political platforms, but on the basis of chaotic socio-economic demands. Current events show that “Arab Spring” was the idea of western political labs, but not the mass movement.

Turkey was one of the countries that immediately reacted to the protests in Iran. Turkish president Erdogan discussed the week-long unrest in Iran during a telephone call with Rouhani and accused the United States and Israel on of meddling in Iran.

The statement made to Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that the events in Iran have to proceed in a peaceful way, in accordance with the legislation of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In this regard, Azerbaijan one more time proved its respect and support to Iran’s sovereignty. In addition, Azerbaijan proves that it is committed to its foreign policy not interfering in the affairs of other states and does not allow other states to interfere in its internal affairs.

It is necessary to consider that international society accepts the position of neighboring countries as a barometer. The interesting is that Armenia, which has close relations with Iran in the Southern Caucasus, has not given any support to it. However, the reality is that Armenia cannot remain standing without Iran’s support.

Armenia has proved their faithlessness and disloyalty many times. History cannot forget the facts like Armenia's strikes against Armenia during war between Russia and Iran, provision of the Russian Army with the intelligence information and betrayal against Ottoman and other facts.

Armenia's historical claims against Iran is not secret. The second sacred book of Armenia "Armenian History" by Movses Khorenatsi following Torah shows Iran as an instigator of all adversities of Armenians. Instigator of disintegration of mythical Armenian statehood which was mainly in Iranian territory during the 5th century has been Iran. There is a geographical term "Armyanskoye nagorye" (Armenian altitudes) where Armenians consider the majority part of Iran as their historical territories.

When protests began in Iran, those written in the Armenian social networks and media reconfirmed that Armenia expected start of the events in Iran as in Syria and Libya and realization of their territorial claims against Iran. When the USSR collapsed, Armenia started their insidious plans against Azerbaijan.

The actor of this role could be the Armenian churches in Iran. As the fifth colony or Troya horse, Church of Armenia and church servants have waited for that historical moment and realization of their missions against Iran for years. The Russian Imperium which helped Armenia to settle in the Caucasus became horrified during the investigation in the Armenian churches in 1903: Churches were storage for weapons.

Russia's ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan pursues Armenian interests by using the opportunities of the Russian diplomacy and intelligence. Yerevan acquires information on Iran from Levan Dzhagaryan and transmits it to West. During the recent negotiations with Armenia’s foreign minister, Edward Nalbandian, the following has been said: “We could not do anything in Syria but we have to do something here (Iran) if chaos escalates”.

Armenia has not expressed any support for Iran. This shows that Yerevan waits for the escalation of chaos in its southern neighbor. Let’s hope that from now on Iran will be able to distinguish its friend from enemies in the Southern Caucasus.
