Romanian, Embassy, Institute for Human Rights and Conflictology to host international conference in Baku
Embassy of Romania to Baku, in its capacity of NATO Contact Point in Azerbaijan, together with Institute for Human Rights and Conflictology of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan will organize the international conference "In the aftermath of NATO Wales Summit
Representatives of Azerbaijani ministries and parliament, NATO officials, ambassadors and military attaches of North Atlantic Alliance member states accredited to Baku, members of diplomatic corps, experts and journalists will take part in the event.

The goal of the conference is to bring added value to the discussions held on Euro-Atlantic security and the perspectives of cooperation between North Atlantic Alliance and partner countries, especially regarding NATO-Azerbaijan relations in the light of NATO 2014 Wales summit.

The conference will be opened by Director of the Institute for Human Rights and Conflictology of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Aytan Mustafayeva and Ambassador of Romania to Baku Daniel Cristian Ciobanu.

Officials from NATO Headquarters Political Affairs and Security Division and Public Diplomacy Division will present the key aspects of NATO-Azerbaijan relations and NATO’s Post-Wales summit communication challenges. NATO Liaison Officer for South Caucasus William Lahue will refer to the main elements of NATO relations with Caucasus partner countries after the Wales Summit.
