Expert board meeting of Caspian European Club to be held
A closed expert board meeting of the Caspian European Club will be held on January 17, said Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Club Mustafa Abbasbeyli.
According to him, a package of proposals concerning the tax, customs, banking and insurance spheres will be discussed and approved at the meeting where after it will be sent to certain authorities. Mustafa Abbasbeyli noted that the expert board of the Caspian European Club together with the member companies of the Club is preparing regular proposals on development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan and reduction of the interference of regulating bodies of the state. This work is carried out considering the international experience.

He also reminded that a letter requesting to prolong the suspension of inspections, carried out by regulating bodies within the private sector companies, for another 2 years was send to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Caspian European Club Ilham Aliyev last year.

“We are grateful to Mr. President for prolonging the term of the moratorium on inspection of the entrepreneurial activity in Azerbaijan till 1 January, 2021,” Abbasbeyli noted.

“We used to send reports and packages of proposals to President Ilham Aliyev and Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva twice a year before while now the frequency of reports increased due to the ongoing reforms in the country. Reports and packages cover different sectors of economy and reflect a real situation about the interference of the government agencies into the private sector,” he said.

“We are grateful that the majority of our proposals were accepted. It tells about efficient activity of the expert board of the Caspian European Club,” Mustafa Abbasbeyli concluded.

Caspian European Club was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies operating in the Caspian-Black Sea region. His Excellency President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is the Chairman of the Caspian European Club.

Since the very establishment the Caspian European Club has promoted attraction of revenues from the oil industry for the development of the non-oil sector. Caspian European Club bring together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations working in 70 countries of the world, and conduct active work to support the dialogue between the government institutions and the private sector.
