German Foreign ministry supports peaceful resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
The Azerbaijan-Germany inter-parliamentary friendship group met with Ambassador Andreas Peschke, Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the Federal Foreign Office (Germany), AzVision.az reports.
The sides discussed Armenia-Azerbaijan, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and bilateral relations between Germany and Azerbaijan in political, economic and humanitarian fields.

The Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports of National Assembly of Azerbaijan and a member of Azerbaijani-German inter-parliamentary working group Fuad Muradov touched on the development of ties between two countries: “The high-level meetings prove Germany-Azerbaijan relations have made progress in different directions. Our countries cooperate in the field of economy, culture, human rights and democracy.

“The German government and people support Azerbaijan’s stance in regard to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We are pleased with Germany’s peaceful mission and its stance in accordance with international law in the direction of the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”, Muradov said.

Germany's Special Representative to Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia, Andreas Peschke stated that bilateral relations between the countries improve dynamically. He expressed his confidence that this visit would contribute to the further development of our relations.

Attaching great importance to the stable cooperation with Azerbaijan, the guest said that Azerbaijan is the important economic partner of Germany in the Caucasus.

Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during the meeting, the envoy reiterated that Germany is committed to a peaceful resolution of this issue.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the expansion of the mutual and fruitful cooperation in all spheres. The guest was informed about the recently realized reforms in the country and its economic development.
