Ms Poirier hailed cooperation between UNICEF and the government of Azerbaijan as long-term and fruitful.
She also praised development processes in Azerbaijan. The UNICEF Regional Director said the international community lauds what the Azerbaijani government is doing to protecting children`s rights.
The Azerbaijani Deputy Premier hailed UNICEF`s activity in the country, particularly its efforts to assist the government in improving healthcare system and implementing health reforms. Mr. Ahmadov also highlighted joint cooperation on protection of children`s health.

Azerbaijan`s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov has met UNICEF Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of the Independent States Marie-Pierre Poirier to explore ways of developing the cooperation between the country and the organization.
