Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan agree on establishment of international railway transport corridor
Heads of Azerbaijani, Uzbek and Georgian railways held trilateral meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Azerbaijan Railways’ spokesperson Nadir Azmammadov told that Azerbaijani delegation led by Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gubanov attended the meeting.

They discussed issues on development of railway sphere, increase of cargos transporting through those countries, TRACECA, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, as well as cooperation in development of other international transport corridors. Heads of Azerbaijani and Georgian railways said they support construction of Angren-Pap railway. This corridor, which is a part of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan international transport corridor, will provide access of cargos to Black Sea through Azerbaijan and Georgia. It was also reached an agreement to consider opening of representations of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Georgia in these countries.

Relevant protocol was signed at the end of the trilateral meeting.
