In accordance with the order, the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations has been entrusted to create the Theology Institute, which will be subordinate to the Committee.
Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry has been instructed to include the theology faculty of the Baku State University into the Azerbaijan Theology Institute.
The State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations has been also instructed to approve the charter of the Azerbaijan Theology Institute within two months and coordinate it with the Azerbaijani President.
The purpose of the institute’s creation is to provide the training of highly qualified personnel in organization of religious activity, preservation and development of high religious and spiritual environment based on the historical traditions of the Azerbaijani people, and represents the logical result of the state policy.
