Kulunk noted that President Ilham Aliyev has been a political figure who has served Azerbaijani people since 2003 and was elected by the vast majority of the country’s citizens.
“Considering the political dynamics of the region, Ilham Aliyev’s re-nomination for the presidential election to be held on April 11 is very important,” Kulunk said.
He noted that President Ilham Aliyev is a beloved leader not only in Azerbaijan, but also in Turkey.
Guided by the principle “one nation-two states”, Ilham Aliyev defended Turkey’s interests in all international events and platforms, Kulunk added.
He also noted that in recent years, Azerbaijan has made significant progress from the political and economic point of view.
“Creation of new jobs, attention paid to human resources in Azerbaijan, billions of investments in the energy sector are important for the stable and sustainable development of the country’s economy and, of course, all this is the result of Ilham Aliyev’s policy,” the Turkish MP said.
As a result of balanced policy pursued by Ilham Aliyev, serious opinion in favor of Azerbaijan was formed in many countries over the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and this is one of the most important factors, the Turkish MP added.
“Ilham Aliyev’s serious diplomatic relations with other countries are very important both for Azerbaijan’s recognition and the political and economic well-being of the country,” Kulunk said.
The MP noted that domestic stability is one of the most important issues for Azerbaijan, which has serious energy resources.
He said that Azerbaijan has achieved serious progress in energy security, established relations with the Euro-Atlantic region, adding that the country pursues realistic policy towards regional integration, stability and peace, as well as mutually beneficial relations.
