Expressing his gratitude to Sue Saarnio for the participation in the 4th meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council which will be held in Baku, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of the US representation at the event in terms of project implementation. Azerbaijani President praised the US Government's support for the implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor. The Head of State expressed satisfaction with the fact that this project will be held in the near future and stressed that the meeting of the Advisory Council tomorrow will provide a good opportunity to discuss the plans for the future.
Sue Saarnio, acting special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs of the US Department of State expressed her gratitude regarding his visit to Azerbaijan. In addition, she highlighted US president’s, US Secretary of State's and US Government’s support to the “South Gas Corridor” project and importance of completion of the project.
President Ilham Aliyev highly appreciated the Trump administration’s support to the above-mentioned project remembering US President Donald Trump’s letter to the "Caspian Oil and Gas 2017" exhibition held in 2017 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
