Kyiv holds 45th meeting of GUAM Council of National Coordinators
The 45th meeting of the GUAM Council of National Coordinators was held in Kiev, Ukraine, said a message posted on GUAM’s website Feb. 16.
 

According to the message, Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by the head of the regional security department of the Foreign Ministry.

The issues of political and inter-parliamentary cooperation within GUAM, as well as cooperation with international organizations and other countries were discussed during the meeting.

GUAM members are Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova.

GUAM was established by post-Soviet countries in 1997 during the summit of heads of the EU states in Strasbourg. In 1999, Uzbekistan joined GUAM, but withdrew from it four years later.
