Two Azerbaijani students were brutally beaten by French parliamentary and Armenians in the French National Assembly building
French National Assembly held an event entitled "Sumgait events after 25 years: the present situation and future prospects for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh" by attendance of representatives of the Armenian-French community and several deputies to the French Parliament.
Event was organized by a member of the National Assembly of France Francois Roshebloun known as pro-Armenian parliamentarian.
Azerbaijani students studying in France Mirvari Fataliyeva and Vusal Huseynov, learning about the event came to the conference room. They have told that Khojaly genocide committed today by Armenians and chanted slogans. However, their slogans were met with threats.
Participants in the event, closing the hall`s door brutally beat Azerbaijani students. The challenge on beating them personally made by deputy Francois Roshebloun.
Police officers and ambulances arrived at the scene.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani embassy in France now are at the scene. Diplomats confirmed the fact , saying that “Azerbaijani students sustained serious injuries, their condition is serious, the victims will be hospitalized".
The representatives of the diplomatic mission noted that currently investigate the circumstances of the incident.
The incident occurred at the beginning of the event. Thus, participants observed a minute`s silence in memory of the victims who died during the Sumgait events but Azerbaijani students did not rise from their seats, the organizers asked them the reason and Mirvari Fataliyeva answered them: "Today, is the 21st the anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in Azerbaijan and we remember the victims of this tragedy."
Mirvari Fataliyeva`s answer made Armenians angry and about 40 Armenians and the French brutally beat Azerbaijani students.
Azerbaijani student Vusal Huseynov, trying to fence compatriot from injuries received most of the hit, so that was seriously injured. According to the report, he has damaged internal organs, as well as a broken rib.
