SOCAR Turkey Energy, BP sign licence agreement

SOCAR Turkey Energy, BP sign licence agreement

SOCAR Turkey Energy and BP have signed a licence agreement.

According to the agreement, BP will provide new generation technology for production of purified terephthalic acid (PTA).

SOCAR will use this technology in its new oil refinery in Aliaga, Izmir, Turkey.

SOCAR’s new second refinery will be launched in 2023.
