Future budgets have not been decided yet, so I’m really unable to comment on a type of final decision, US Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman, who is visiting Khachmaz, told reporters concerning reports that USAID will reduce financial assistance to Azerbaijan.
Bierman said he hopes programs and cooperation with Azerbaijan will be continued and the results seen today will be repeated in the future, adding that today’s results are indicative of the strength of the relationship between Azerbaijan and the US.
“We had some good discussions. We talked about different programs here. I think relationships are important and I’m looking forward to developing great relationships with a number of Azerbaijan’s ministries,” he added.
