Azerbaijani President sends letter of condolence to Singaporean counterpart

Azerbaijani President sends letter of condolence to Singaporean counterpart

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam.

The letter says: “I am deeply saddened upon hearing the news on death of the first Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew. I share Your sorrow on this heavy loss and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own, I express deep condolences to You, families and relatives of the deceased, all the people of Singapore”.

Lee Kuan Yew, widely recognized as the founder of modern Singapore and the country`s first prime minister, died on Sunday. He was 91.
