CEC: 21 international, over 22,000 local observers registered for presidential election in Azerbaijan

CEC: 21 international, over 22,000 local observers registered for presidential election in Azerbaijan

So far, more than 22,000 local observers have been registered in connection with the presidential election to be held in Azerbaijan on April 11.

This was announced by Chairman of Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov at a CEC meeting on Saturday.

Panahov went on to say that 21 foreign observers have been registered for the upcoming presidential election in Azerbaijan.

“Thirteen observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and 8 from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) were registered by Azerbaijan’s CEC,” he said.
